He is sired by Raise the Bar who was on stud here at Goldrush. On the bottom side he is All Eyes who goes back to Outlaw! Set the Bar is one clean fronted, square made boar. When you get on top of him and he has a big top laid into him while being true in his muscle shape down his loin and through hip and hind leg. He is extremely athletic on the move. World Pandemic (Shaffer’s Goldrush) Sire: World Class Dam: All Eyes x Point Taken Stress: Negative Passed Purity Test: 96% WORLD PANDEMIC’S mother is Maddie who was the 2016 Champion Hampshire Gilt at the American Royal shown by Hadley Hendrickson and the $14,000 Champion Hampshire Gilt at the 2016 Fall Classic that we purchased. His sire, WORLD CLASS needs no introduction to the Hampshire Breed having sired champions on all levels consistently throughout the country. World Pandemic is tall shouldered and clean fronted with that attractive look from the side. He is extremely true in his muscle shape when you study him down his loin edge. He also has a stout hip laid in him. Out on the move, he takes a really good, long stride. We feel that World Pandemic is one of the best Hampshire boars that we have ever put together here at Goldrush. His natural width and muscle shape is impeccable. High Expectations (Shaffer’s Goldrush) Sire: Lethal Dam: The Game Stress: Negative Passed Purity Test: 97% Grand Champion Hampshire Boar - 2019 Southwest Type Conference His pedigree is ideal for predictability in producing Hampshire’s with more bone and natural body mass than most genetic lines available. This is his mother’s second litter. In her first litter she was bred to World Class and produced the Grand Champion Hampshire Boar at the Indiana State Fair in 2018. Then turns around and poduces High Expectations, the Grand Champion Hampshire Boar at the 2018 SWTC, a Champion at another National Show! High Expectations is big legged, big boned, big toed, heavy muscled, and athletic with an ideal Hampshire belt. He comes at you with a wide chest floor and leaves you with a wide hip and hind leg. One of a Kind (Shaffer’s Goldrush) Sire: Breed This Dam: All Fired Up Stress: Negative Passed Purity Test: 90% $38K STC Boar. One of a Kind is so good in his basic build! He is correct at the ground, incredibly sound, and massive boned. This sets the foundation for his power up high. His rib shape is incredible, his back is wide, his hip is stout, and he provides just the right amount of power. War Zone (Southern Gold) Sire: War Path Dam: Lethal Stress: Negative War Zone is our very popular, class winning Hampshire from the 2020 summer type conference. I had heard that the Meekers were bringing a good one to Iowa, and that they had even said it was the best one they’ve ever raised. That’s a big statement from a family that’s raised as many great ones as they have. There was no doubt that War Zone was the most powerful Hampshire boar at the show. He has as much width and top shape as you can put on one. He is super wide-based, awesome through his hip and rump that runs deep down his back leg. What I love about this guy is that he’s got all of this power, but still keeps the style and look that we need. He handles all of this so effortlessly. War Zone is also another one that is bred as good as you could ask for. Being out of Warpath on the top side and on the bottom side his mother is a littermate to High Expectations while his grandmother is the mother of High Expectations and Grand Entrance. He is out of two very impressive Hampshire females. 2021 Yorkshire Boars All Purity Tested Click on Sire Name to Visit Official Page Intimidator (Shaffer’s Goldrush) Sire: Dominator Dam: Dress to Kill Stress: Negative Let’s talk center mass! Whoa! Intimidator is incredible in terms of center rib shape and depth and offers tons of volume. He handles this mass with ease on the move with a big forearm and stout bone work. Intimidator is definitely a thick, stout made boar and even earned the description of "fat backed" from Willie Kirkpatrick during the Exposition. This guy will make them thicker, bolder, and better! Space Jam (Southern Gold) Sire: I Believe Dam: Clocks Tickin x Altitude Stress: Negative Space Jam’s mother was Champion in the point’s circuit in Iowa, with his aunt being Reserve in points. His mom’s littermate was the 5th Overall Barrow at the World Pork Expo shown by Creighton Hirschfeld. His grandma is the 67-3 that was a foundation female that Hirschfeld’s had. Space Jam is a boar that you need to see in person. He is tall fronted while being correct in his angularity through his blade and knee, big backed, and bold in his rib cage. He is pliable in his skeleton and incredibly good footed. 2021 Crossbred Boar Click on Sire Name to Visit Official Page Bullseye (Southern Gold) Sire: Teen Spirit Dam: On Target Stress: Negative Bullseye has been doing a wonderful job in his first couple of seasons here at Southern Gold. He has sired multiple champions at some of the toughest county fairs in the nation. Bullseye is very stout in his bone work and had an extremely heavy skeleton. He has an expressive shape down his top with a powerful, square hip from behind. Bullseye’s mother is one of those great sows that doesn’t come along very often. She is also the mother of Sky Zone at Triple B, the 2018 Indiana State Fair 3rd place overall gilt, the 2018 reserve division three at the World Pork Expo, the 2018 champion barrow at the Wisconsin State fair, and the 2019 champion at the Tennessee Livestock Expo. As you can see, these bloodlines are no joke. Bullseye is a proven sire of champions. Private Practice (Southern Gold) Sire: Anchorman Dam: Blurred Vision Stress: Negative I always look forward to visiting Chad and Liz at Decker Showpigs to look at boars. I’ve never been disappointed when visiting them and this trip was no different. Man do they produce some high-quality power houses. Some great ones from their farm have been favorites at Southern Gold (Mouse Trap, X-Ray Vision, and Power in the Blood, just to name a few). All of these were no accident. Chad and Liz have put together one of the greatest bunch of crossbred females that you will ever see. They are females that have either won national, state and local shows, or are descendants of champion females. Of all of them that Chad has had over the years, he thinks Private Practice’s mother may be the best one they have ever had. She is the daughter of the fifth overall cross at the 2016 WPX. Chad can count off the top of his head at least 15 of her descendants have made the backdrop. Just like Chad thinks his dam may be his best one ever, I think that Private Practice could be the best best boar to come from the Decker’s. I don’t say these words lightly. This guy is a stud. This bloodline is packed with champions. His litter mates have been tearing up the show ring circuits. Private Practice is one of those boars that just grabs your attention with his wide base, heaviness of muscle, huge set of back wheels, big hip, and a side profile you have to see to believe. This guy is a showstopper and he is here to keep this elite bloodline in the winners’ circle. |
